Mediacorp Subaru Last Palm Standing Challenge: Should You Join?

The Mediacorp Subaru Last Palm Standing Challenge, better known as the Subaru Car Challenge, is a yearly affair that pits contestants in an endurance competition! Already in its 18th edition, the challenge is undoubtedly Asia’s largest and toughest competitions around.

The challenge’s rules are pretty straightforward. Place your hand on a designated spot, and don’t let go! But obviously, it’s a lot harder than that. You’ll need a lot of mental fortitude, determination and endurance. It’s going to be a painful experience which is only made better because you have the chance to bring home a brand new car.

It’s a bit of a gamble because you won’t know if you’ve got what it takes to win until you try. But if you do take part and win, it’s really high returns.

Over the years, the average time it took to win was around 65 hours. So, if it takes you 65 hours to win a $78,000 car, it means that you’ve earned $1,300 an hour. That’s a crazy amount and it’s almost impossible for the average person to earn that much!

But it Won’t be Easy

Like every year, this year’s challenge will be held at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on 2 November 2019. Contestants will stand a chance to win a brand-new Subaru XV 2.0i-S EyeSight worth S$76,800! Additionally, if you can beat the current record time of 82 hours and 16 minutes, the organizers will even include the COE. Otherwise, the car will not come with the Certificate of Entitlement (COE).

Participants from all over Asia will fight it out, battling fatigue and weather conditions to bring home the prize. So you can expect that it won’t be easy. But don’t worry, CARRO is here to help you with some useful tips from past winners!

The Mediacorp Subaru Last Palm Standing Challenge is still accepting participants, so don’t forget to sign up before it’s too late!
