COE Bidding Results (9 January 2019)
COE premiums in Category A closed higher than the last exercise at $25,920, up from $25,501. The premiums in this category are meant for cars with engines that are lower than 1,600cc and not exceeding 130bhp.
Also closing higher were the COE premiums in Category B. In this round, the premiums rose by almost $1,200, closing at $32,200. COE premiums in this category are usually used for larger and more powerful cars.
Open Category COE premiums also followed the trend and closed higher than the last exercise. Up from $31,809, COE premiums in the Category closed at $32,909 in this round. While mainly used for larger and more powerful cars, COE premiums in this category can be used for all types of vehicles.
There was a quota of only 5,048 COEs available but a total of 7,169 bids were received.
