The Expat Guide: Insurance Checklist
Buying Insurance can be a real pain in the rear end. It is mandatory for all vehicles in Singapore to have car/motor insurance. The process of applying and purchasing for insurance may sound like it’s going to be tedious, but worry no more because we have provided you an insurance checklist!
Here is Carro’s version of insurance checklist you can use:
One of the few documents that you’ll need to provide to apply for insurance is your NCD letter from the previous insurance company from your previous country of residence. Within the NCD letter itself, do take note of what is required in the letter for us to help you with your insurance:
◻︎Insurance company letterhead
◻︎Full name
◻︎Carplate number
◻︎Passport number
◻︎Duration insured by the company
◻︎Any claims made in the past 3-5 years
If your letter meets all the requirements above, then you’re good to go! All you have to do is simply have the letter along with a photocopy of your local driving license as well as your very first license – insurers need to know your driving pass date too.
