COE Bidding Results (4 Sep 2019)
COE premiums in Category A, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at $31,783, down from $31,917 in the last exercise.
The biggest drop came were seen in premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B, falling to $36,001 from $38,602.
COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, fell to $25,502 from $26,501 in the previous bidding exercise.
Also falling significantly were the Open category COE premiums. While these premiums can be used for any vehicle type, they end up being used mainly for large cars. These COE premiums fell to $37,912 from $40,002.
A total of 5,029 bids were received, but only a quota of 3,502 COEs available.
