In the latest COE Bidding Results (18 Dec 2019), COE premiums closed lower across the board. The biggest change came in premiums for Category E (Open Category)! Check them out below.
COE Bidding Results (18 Dec 2019)
For Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at $32,889, down from $33,009 in the last exercise.
Seeing the biggest change in the latest exercise were premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B. Premiums in this category fell to $36,000 from $37,900.
COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, fell to $23,200 from $23,704 in the previous bidding exercise.
Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, fell to $37,989 from $38,889.
There were a total of 4,294 bids, but only a quota of 3,443 COEs available.
With COE premiums falling this time around, it looks like it’s a good time to get your brand new car. Plus, it’s just in time for Chinese New Year!
