Best places to go to celebrate Christmas
This the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la la la la la
Yay, the exciting holiday is here again and let’s not let this holiday pass without immersing ourselves in some Christmas cheer. Who says we need snow to enjoy? Here are some places you can go during this season! These places have themes specially for this holiday.
1. Gardens by the Bay
Festive markets, carnival, an ice skating rink and beautiful lights! Everything you need for a magical Christmas. Catch the some caroling and the parade nearer the holiday as well (do check the timing to avoid disappointment). You can also experience snow too!

2. Universal Studios
Winner of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS holder for largest light bulb display in an indoor venue. Enjoy the attractive festive lights in 8 thematic zones. Visit Santa’s Village and meet Santa’s little helpers and the talking reindeer! Catch the snows specially for the season. Not forgetting my favorite, where all your favorite characters are dressed for the season
3. Orchard Road
Lights line up from Tanglin Mall to Plaza Singapure. The street also turns into a stage with mini-performances by local musicians and jazz bands providing the ultimate ‘live’ soundtrack to get you in the mood for the season. Look out for amazing displays that will simply blow your mind away. Don’t forget to bring your cameras!
4. Singapore River
Not only is this place fully decorated but catch renditions of Christmas hits while sipping a glass of wine. Occasionally, there will be carolers cruising down the river.
5. ONE15 Christmas Boat Light Parade
Yachts decorated in Christmas lights will sail into HarbourFront Cruise Bay on 26 November at 8.30pm until 9.30pm as part of the ONE15 Boat Light Parade. Get a good view from Sentosa Boardwalk.
6. Christmas tree + mechanical Carousel-themed light show at VivoCity Singapore
VivoCity, Singapore’s largest shopping mall, is all lit up for Christmas. Don’t miss the Christmas tree on the rooftop, and the Carousel-themed light show there at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
