The Singapore Grand Prix is right around the corner! Are you excited? Because we sure are. Famous for their high speeds and powerful engines, how do you think a road car will compare to a racing car? Not often will you see such an epic race happening for experiments, but when it does, the f1 cars usually win. And by a HUGE margin. Despite both cars being four-wheeled drives, their differences are extensive.
One interesting comparison would be an F1 Mercedes Benz AMG W06 Hybrid racing against a Ford Focus Hatchback 1.6 Studio 5d. Wait, what? A family car and a racing machine?
This, we must see. This interesting infographic shows how both vehicles are likely to compare on the road, no prizes to guess which machines comes out on top.
Aside from the hatchback, F1 cars have also been placed in comparison against other premium road cars, including the BMW M5. The BMW M5 is a high-performance version of the 5 series executive car, one of the fastest cars that the luxury car manufacturer have in its collections.
Or how about between a NASCAR?
One of the more popular speed races happens between the F1 and the V8 Supercar. V8 Supercars themselves are racing cars based in Australia, named explicitly after its V8-engine capable of producing between 620 – 650 bhp.
Race cars are all about the speed and thrill they give both drivers and spectators. People want to know how fast they can go and what it’ll be like against other types of cars. Witnessing the vast differences in both form and race is sure a sight nobody wants to miss out on.
