For COE premiums in Category A, which are meant for cars with 1,600cc and below and with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums saw a large increment, rising by $3,024 to $40,714.
Also increasing were COE premiums in the Category B. Premiums in this category rose to $45,012, seeing a $3,911 increase. These premiums are used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for larger cars.
COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, also closed higher in this round of bidding. Premiums in the category saw a jump of $2,555, closing at $32,889.
COE premiums in the Open Category followed this tender’s trend and increased in price. Premiums in this category closed at $45,510, increasing by $4,007.
There were a total of 4,653 bids but with a quota of only 2,845 COEs available.
