For COE premiums in Category A, which are meant for cars with 1,600cc and below and with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums saw the biggest drop in recent times, closing at $36,534 which is a nearly $2,000 drop.
Continuing from the last exercise, premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B fell again and closed at $40,690 from $40,989.
Also falling were COE premiums in the Open category. Premiums in this category dropped to $40,301, seeing a $700 fall. These premiums are used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for larger cars
However, COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, closed higher in this round of bidding. Premiums in the category saw a huge jump of $4,500, closing at $33,089.
There were a total of 4,442 bids but with a quota of only 2,889 COEs available.
