COE Bidding Results (6 January 2021)
For COE premiums in Category A, which are meant for cars with 1,600cc and below and with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums saw a slight increment of $53, up from $40,556 to $40,609.
COE premiums in Category B fell, providing some reprieve from the four-figure increase last month. Premiums in this category dropped to $49,001, seeing a $299 decrease. These premiums are used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for larger cars
However, COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, closed with the highest increment in this round of bidding. Premiums in the category rose by $699, closing at $35,900.
COE premiums in Open Category remained largely the same and experienced a slight decrease of $11. Premiums in this category closed at $49,489.
There were a total of 4,113 bids but with a quota of only 2,825 COEs available.
