For COE premiums in Category A, which are meant for cars with 1,600cc and below and with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums saw a large increment, going up by $1,700 to $37,690.

Also increasing were COE premiums in the Category B. Premiums in this category rose above $40,000 this month to $41,101, seeing another large increase of $2,101. These premiums are used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for larger cars

However, COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, closed lower in this round of bidding. Premiums in the category saw a fall of $1,168, closing at $30,334.

COE premiums in Open Category followed this tender’s trend and increased in price. Premiums in this category closed at $41,503, increasing by $2,003.

There were a total of 4,320 bids but with a quota of only 2,868 COEs available.
