A cement mixer drove into the centre divider of the Seletar Expressway this morning, April 18 at 3.19am betwwen Upper Thomsom Road and Mandai road. The mixer spilled cement on both sides of the expressway and affected the two way traffic.
The trapped driver was rescued by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers using hydraulic rescue tools, and taken conscious and in a stable condition to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Apart from the driver, no other injuries were reported although a few drivers nearly drove into the overturned vehicle.
The mixer was towed away at about 8.30am.
Remember to drive safely on the roads and keep a safe distance to avoid becoming victims of unfortunate situations such as that mentioned above!
