COE Bidding Results (17 Jul 2019)
For Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at $26,667, falling by $1,922 from the last exercise.
Premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B increased the most. Shifting by $5,406, premiums in this category closed at $39,406.
Following Category A premiums in falling were COEs for commercial vehicles, going down to $24,599 from $25,089 in the previous bidding exercise.
Additionally, Open category COEs increased by almost $3,000, closing at $39,889 from $36,901. COE premiums in this category can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars.
There were a total of 6,180 bids received but only a quota of 4,434 COEs available.
