JAKARTA, 12 MARCH 2020 – Jualo.com, one of Indonesia’s leading C2C marketplaces, today announced the appointment of Manisha Seewal as its Chief Executive Officer. She assumes the new role in addition to her responsibilities as the Group Chief Marketing Officer of Carro – Southeast Asia’s largest automotive marketplace.

As Jualo.com’s new CEO, Manisha will drive the company’s business growth in Indonesia. This includes having a strong focus on the automotive sector and raising its synergy with Carro’s business in the country. According to Manisha, Jualo.com’s prime focus, as it enters its new period of growth, is to expand the size of its team in Indonesia. Therefore, she is currently welcoming talented and experienced individuals to join the growing team.

“Jualo.com’s extensive reach and large customer base in Indonesia have been instrumental in helping Carro boost the reach of our proprietary technology platform in the country,” said Manisha Seewal, CEO of Jualo.com. “As its CEO, I’m excited at the opportunity to grow Jualo.com’s business here. Both Jualo and Carro will leverage each other’s technologies to provide Indonesians with a transparent and hassle-free platform for e-commerce, especially when buying and selling vehicles.”

As Carro’s Group Chief Marketing Officer, Manisha leads and drives the development of the company’s key branding and positioning strategies in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Prior to Carro, Manisha led marketing teams of global insurance corporations such as Tokio Marine, Aviva, Great Eastern Life and HSBC Insurance.

Founded in 2013, Jualo.com is one of Indonesia’s most prominent full-stack hybrid C2C marketplaces and was acquired by Carro in 2019. The platform helps private and professional sellers trade new and used goods in over 300 categories including cars, motorcycles, property, fashion, electronics and job adverts. To date, Jualo possesses millions of users and has facilitated transactions worth over US$1 billion. Its reach across the Indonesian market is extensive as the website deals with goods being traded across all 34 of Indonesia’s provinces.

“The partnership between Jualo.com and Carro is built on our complementary visions to empower the e-commerce needs of Indonesians through trust. Improving the synergy between our two companies will help us reach that vision faster. To that end, we firmly believe that Manisha is the right person to steer us on the right path” said Aditya Lesmana, Co-Founder and Indonesia Country Head of Carro.
